50 mL e-liquid and nicotine boosters: how does it work?

E-liquids come in 10 mL bottles, ready to vape, and in 50 mL bottles, sold without nicotine. The latter are completed with nicotine boosters. Here is how it works.

10 mL or 50 mL: what is the difference?

• The 10 mL bottle is ready to use, with the nicotine strength you choose (for example 0, 3, 6, 12 mg/mL depending on the product).
• The 50 mL bottle contains the e-liquid without nicotine (0 mg/mL). It offers a larger quantity for regular use, and the nicotine strength is adjusted with boosters.

What is a nicotine booster?

A booster is a small bottle of PG/VG base containing nicotine, to be poured into the 50 mL bottle. On our product pages, 1 booster adds about 3 mg/mL of nicotine and 2 boosters about 6 mg/mL. Boosters are sold separately, at €1.50 each. Use our booster calculator to estimate the strength you will get.

How to add a booster?

1. Check that the 50 mL bottle is designed to receive boosters (the bottle's capacity is shown on it).
2. Open the bottle, then pour in the contents of the booster or boosters.
3. Close the bottle tightly and shake it to mix.
4. Let it rest according to the manufacturer's recommendations before use.

Which booster should you choose?

The booster is also a PG/VG mix: it slightly changes the final ratio. To keep it, choose a booster whose ratio is close to that of the liquid (a 50/50 booster with a 50/50 liquid). To understand the effect of the ratio, read our PG/VG guide.
