JUUL is no longer sold in France: which pods can you use?

In short: JUUL® is no longer distributed in France, and neither are its original pods. For a first-generation JUUL, compatible pods exist: Vaze Pods, sold in boxes of 4, in 14 flavors, with or without nicotine.
Is JUUL still sold in France?
No. JUUL devices and their original pods, the “JUULpods”, are no longer distributed in France: their maker, Juul Labs, has left the French market. If you have kept your JUUL, or if you are visiting from abroad with yours, you will need compatible pods.
Which pods can you use with a JUUL?
Vaze Pods, by the French brand Vaze Paris, are pre-filled 0.75 mL pods. According to their manufacturer, they are compatible with the JUUL® device.
- One box, 4 pods, ready to use: remove the empty pod, insert the new one. No bottle to handle.
- 14 flavors: tobacco (Blond Léger, Blond Fort, Empire State RY4), mint (Menthe Verte, Diabolo Menthe), fruity and gourmand flavors.
- With or without nicotine: 0, 10 or 20 mg/mL depending on the flavor.
JUUL or JUUL2: check your model
These pods are for the first-generation JUUL, the one that used to be sold in France. The JUUL2, launched later in other countries such as the United Kingdom, only takes its own pods: Vaze Pods do not fit it. If in doubt, look at the packaging of your usual pods: JUUL2 pods are labeled “JUUL2”.
Which nicotine strength should you choose?
In France, an e-liquid cannot exceed 20 mg/mL of nicotine. Vaze Pods come in 0, 10 or 20 mg/mL depending on the flavor. If you are used to higher strengths abroad, 20 mg/mL is the highest you will find here. Our guide to nicotine strength explains how to choose.
What if your JUUL battery no longer works?
The Vaze Classic battery uses the same Vaze Pods. It charges by USB and comes in four colors.
